I was a guest lecturer at The University of Hong Kong, my alma mater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I taught Future Food for the Masters in Science (MSc), Food Industry: Management & Marketing course with Prof. Jennifer Wan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you Jetty Lee, Associate Professor and Programme Director of the MSc Food Industry: Management & Marketing course for the invitation and entrusting me with the next generation of the Food Industry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my lecturer engagement at The University of Hong Kong<\/a>, on Future Foods for MSc Food Industry: Management & Marketing Winter 2024 semester. I was lucky enough to arrange a guest speaker to join one of my classes.

My students met <\/a>Viola (Jinhui) Chen<\/a>, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Manager, at \u8c37\u5b5a\u54a8\u8be2 GFIC<\/a>!

Viola was gracious enough to share \u8c37\u5b5a\u54a8\u8be2 GFIC<\/a>\u2018s insights on alternative protein trends and fundraising across Asia Pacific.

She also shared her story and professional journey, encouraging my students to pursue a career in future foods.

I concluded my course on Future Foods for MSc Food Industry: Management & Marketing Winter 2024 semester at The University of Hong Kong<\/a>.

\ud83d\udc3c It was intensive, with topics spanning, alternative protein, digital agriculture, vertical farming and aquaculture.

\ud83e\udd16 With a strong focus on case studies, we delved into the commercialisation of future food technology. Studying team dynamics, business models, intellectual property, marketing and fundraising strategy.

\ud83c\udfd0 Covering the topic in a 360 degree view, to assess the opportunities and challenges along the way. Students were encouraged to consider entrepreneurship and naturally I made them do an elevator pitch. \ud83d\ude01

\ud83d\udd0c Interestingly, most of my students are open to consuming cellular agriculture products, which demonstrates a tide of change for Gen Z and Gen Alphas being more open minded than Millennials and Gen X.
